On the 21st,
our 5th Barbado da Terceira
litter was born, out of Multi-Ch Sheila
and Castiço de Aradik. We still have
some males available. Check the litter's

In Latvia, on the
21st, the Standard Wire-haired Dachshund
Alzira de Aradik (owned by Anne Lehto,
Track-Action Kennel)
got CAC, was Best of Breed, 2nd Best of Group and became Latvian Champion! :).
On an interesting beginning of the new year, we got 3rd place at the photo
contest “Christmas and the Portuguese dog breeds”, organized by Facebook page
Cães de Raça Portuguesa, with a photo of the

2011 in balance: unlike what we did in the past years, this year we did not compete to place any
given dog in the yearly rankings. We rather showed different dogs, starting or
finishing their championships and, in the case of the Barbado, showing there are
more colors other than just yellow. Still, the year’s balance is very positive
for our dogs and dogs out of our breeding: 16 new titles in the three breeds,
including several new champions in 4 countries; the #1 Barbado da Terceira in
the Portuguese breeds ranking (Ali-Babá
de Aradik); the #2 dog in Group 6 and #9 in the All-Breed ranking (the
Drever A Striped Star de Aradik); 8 dogs
qualified for Eukanuba Gold Winner 2011®
(3 Barbados da Terceira, 1 Dachshund, 4 Drevers)! And the greatest meeting of
Drevers of any show in the south of Europe ! :)
