Lines in the Barbado da Terceira
Due to the traditional breeding methods for most Barbados in the Terceira Island – most people have a couple of dogs that breed over and over, with few breeders actually selecting matings – some lines have arisen, with relatively distinct traits.
We show bellow some specimens of those lines, in photos since 2001 (before the breed was recognized) until present times. Dogs are shown in different stages of clipping – some newly clipped, others never clipped, other some months after clipping.
Noawdays the distinction between lines is getting more and more blurred, due to the interbreeding among them.
This page has many photos, so it may take a while to fully load.
